Occupational Therapy sessions are provided in the home and community settings to support generalization and carry-over into everyday life. Sessions include 50 minutes of direct treatment and 10 minutes for parent communication. Treatment will focus on goals developed in collaboration with the caregiver to support:
Functional skills training: Supporting a child's engagement in everyday tasks, such as dressing, feeding, and routine management
Social development: Helping children improve their relationships and play skills with peers
Sensory Regulation: Helping children learn to understand their sensory processing system and use sensory strategies throughout their day
Motor skills: Developing functional movement and motor patterns, including fine motor (small movements with the hands and arms needed for handwriting, buttoning, cutting, and more!) and gross motor skills (big movement needed to play on the playground and get around the community)
Cognitive skills: Helping children develop their executive functioning skills including focused attention, completing multi-step tasks, and organizing their environment
Feeding Skills: Supporting children to explore new foods and textures to expand a limited diet
Insurance plans are not currently accepted and services will be billed directly to the client. Superbills for insurance reimbursement can be provided biweekly upon request.
