Christine Homan is a pediatric occupational therapist providing home based and community based play therapy services in the Bay Area. She has a passion for working alongside families to develop practical tools and interventions to empower a child to learn and grow. She values play as a means to engage a child in skill building activities at their own pace. She focuses her therapy on a lifespan approach, considering fundamental development as well as functional solutions. Christine believes every child deserves to learn in a joyful supportive environment where they can laugh and play as they grow.
Christine has experience working with children from infants to teens. She has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Feeding Disorders, and sensory processing challenges. She utilizes the strengths and interests of neurodiverse children to encourage them to participate in meaningful play.
She believes that the best way to help children is to work with them in their natural environment, which is why she provides in-home and community-based services. This allows her to see how your child functions in their everyday life and to tailor therapy to their specific needs.
